The video gallery is
organized according to the kind of animals displayed. If a clip
involves multiple classifications it may show up under each. You
can get some sense for how plentiful a kind of animal is, or how
much attention we pay to it, by the number of clips under that
title.
The video clips linked here are .mpg files in the range of 3
to 10 megabytes. You are going to need a broadband connection to
the internet if you want to download these in a reasonable time.
The clips run from 20 to 60 seconds. These clips show some
interesting action but don't show the full context from which
they come.
Click on the still pictures to access the page featuring the
animal shown. For those animals I can identify I have included
the scientific name in the caption so you can research its family
tree if you are into marine biology. As we continue to get video
that illustrates how marine animals live their lives, or as we
discover new (to us) creatures, we will update this gallery so
visit often.
