Mathematically defined
regions of the complex plane, colored by numbers...
The
images displayed in this gallery are captured from made-up
systems that so far as we know exist only as mathematical
expressions. If you click on one of the small images on this
page, you will be presented with an 800X600 pixel image. The
imaging algorithm is controlled by a program called the
Fractal Science Kit,
published by Ross Hilbert. Click on the Fractal Science Kit link
to see what is involved in creating the images. There are an
infinite number of ways that we might choose to convert the data
stream from a mathematical system into
an image. The Fractal Science Kit program provides an infinite
subset of those ways.
All the images in this gallery are the property of James D

and other countries. Please contact James D Jones for permission to use
this material in any way other than viewing on this website. I
will most likely grant permission for non-commercial use of any
images here but we are curious to what use they might be put. If
there is any interest in a larger size suitable for desktop
decoration, 1600X1200 pixels, or even larger sizes, let me know.
They may be available in digital form.
