Ben took Mamma down to Townsend's. Ella & I had our first sleigh ride in Ben’s new sleigh. Went down after Mamma.

Mamma went to church. Mr. & Mrs. Carpenter over in P.M. Ben & I met Mrs. Wilcox at Purinton's Corner in P.M. to see about her lumber.
Mon. Jan. 3
Snow storm. Cleared off in P.M. Jim went to the Falls. Heard about Walter Grover being crazy.
Tues. Jan. 4
Coldest weather of the season. I took Ben to the Falls in P.M. very few out.
Wed. Jan. 5
Evelyn Bard swallowed a needle. Ben went to Madison. Snowed in P.M.
Thurs. Jan. 6
Showery all day. Walter & Br Bobby over here sawing wood. Mr. Carpenter and Mr. Decovin here in P.M. Rained hard in P.M. Had telephone from Madison.
Fri. Jan. 7
Still raining. Ella & I went out for a sleigh ride in P.M. Ben tel. from Madison. We all went over to Mr. Carpenter’s in Eve. Cleared off in P.M.
Sat. Jan. 8
Walter & Bobby sawed wood here. Papa went to the Falls. Ben tel. from Leed’s Junction. Went after him at 5.45 P.M.
Sun. Jan. 9
Jim took Ma to church. Ben & I went over to Mr. Wilcox’s sister’s in morning to look over her lumber lot. Lester & Wallace were down in P.M.
Mon. Jan. 10
Walter Rideout came over to cut wood. Llewelyn Larabee called in A.M. Papa went to the Falls with wood.

Papa went to the Falls. Papa & Billy went up to Leighton’s in P.M. L. Larabee called in P.M.

Papa took the pig up to Leighton’s. Papa went to the Falls.

Ben took Ella & me to ride to Purington’s Cor. Took Ma to ride later. Mr. Carpenter sold his farm to Mr. Lapointe. Papa went to the Falls.

Mr. & Mrs. Car. went to Lewiston to do the writings. Papa & Jim went to the Falls. Jim went over to Mr. C.’s.

Papa went to the Falls. Ben went to Lewiston in P.M. Pa & Bill went over to Mr. C’s in Eve.
Sun. Jan. 16
Papa went up to Llewelyn’s to look at Bob. I came home with him in P.M. Ben & I went fox hunting in A.M. Saw my first fox running on the pond. Ma, Ella, & I went over to Mr. C’s in P.M. Lapointe’s folks moved in.
Mon. Jan. 17
Ben & I went fox hunting on the pond. L. Larabee came down and stayed to supper. Ben, Ella, & I went riding in the Eve. Papa went to Falls.
Tues. Jan. 18
Rained hard nearly all day. Mabel Keay sick. No school all the week Leighton came down and killed our hog. Papa and ? took old red cow and “Leeman” piggy up to Litchfield Cor. and brought back, “Bob”. Jim & Billy went up to Lester’s in Eve.
Wed. Jan. 19
Mrs. Carp. Came in in A.M. Went away on 1.03 P.M. Papa & Jim went to the Falls. Ben went to Lewiston. Walter was over in P.M.
Thurs. Jan. 20
Bill went to Steven’s. Ben & I went over to Jordan’s in A.M. Ben & Bill rode round the neighborhood after dinner. Papa went over to Rob Rideout's in P.M. to get oxen shod.

Mrs. Decovin was down in P.M. Wallace R. down in P.M. Very warm.
Sat. Jan. 22
Rained pouring. Jim caught three skunks.
Sun. Jan. 23
Papa took Ben & I to the Falls in P.M. Came to Lewiston on 5 P.M. car. Stopped at the Exchange Hotel etc.
Mon. Jan 24
Sick with sciatic rheumatism for four weeks. Had Dr. from 2 to 5 times a day. Folks up to see me every Sun.

Feeling quite a good deal better. Sat up but had bad pain in my side.

Ben went down home. Beautiful day. Was dressed for first time. Went down to Waiting Room to meet Ben in P.M. with Maude & Earle.
Mon. Feb. 21
Doc came in in the A.M. a jiffy. Ben & I came home in P.M. Papa came after us. Florence came down to supper and stayed all night.
Tues. Feb. 22
Papa & Jim went to the Falls. Snowed in P.M. Papa hurt his knee. Walter was over.
Wed. Feb. 23
Ben & Walter went fox hunting. Squally in P.M.
Thurs. Feb. 24
Papa went to the Falls. Jim, Mamma & Ella went in P.M. Ben went fox hunting. Walter & Charlie Lapoint came over in evening.

Papa & Jim went to the Falls. Ben went over to Richmond. Douglas was here. Ella went up to school. Mabel & Helen were up for last day exercises.

Papa & Bill went up in Litchfield to Jordan’s. Ben, Ella & I went up to Adams'. I weighed 107 – Ella – 100 ½ - Ben 214 ½ lbs. Rainy in P.M. Jim went over to Rideout’s. Walter came back home with him.

Papa took Ben & I to the Falls. Had my teeth fixed at Dr. Smiley’s. Went up to Doc's & Maud's. Stayed to Annie Kelley’s. Went to the nickel.

Ben & I went down to Bath and stayed with Meal until 2.20 P.M. then went to Rockland and stayed all night. Called on Brother Gould.

Came back to Lewiston. Had my teeth fixed. Came home in P.M. Got Charlie L. to bring us up.

Jim & Walter went to Falls. Ella was sick. Ben & I went on our first fishing trip for season. Walter over.

Snow went off from Dandelions Hills. Ben & I went out rowing. Ella still sick. Jim & Bill went up to Lester’s in Eve. Nit Curtis here all day.

Papa took Ben to the Falls. Ella sick. Walter was over. Played flinch in the Eve. Ben phoned from Upper Gloucester.

Walter was over. John Decovin & Dora was here. Papa took Ma to the Falls to stay over Easter Sale & supper. Ben came back with Papa. Norman Curtis was here taking census.

Ben & Bill went fox hunting all day. Ella & I went down by Townsend’s gunning in P.M. Came back with Ben & Billy. Walter was over. Thunder showers in Eve.

Jim & Ben went fox hunting. Came back and went fishing over to Cobboseecontee. Papa went to the Falls and got Mamma & Willie Beal. Rest of the family came up in P.M. Stayed all night. Bill went up to Sadie's to get his hair trimmed. Walter was over.

Went boating in A.M. Dr. Plummer tel. that Mrs. Merrill was sick. All but Will went home with Punk’s horse. Walter was over.

Cleaned the parlor. Charlie LaP. & Bobby were over. Met Ben down in the woods. Fooled me. Papa went to Lewiston. Went woodchucking in P.M.

Jim went up after shingles in A.M. Fought fire up to Al Chase’s and Adams’. I went after Ben in P.M. Painted the kitchen. Pa went over to John Pooler’s after supper. Goldie & Sadie were down in Eve. Arthur Card was up. Went boating & fishing. Fine day.

Papered the kitchen. Charlie Pooler & Mabel Bartlett married the 16th.

Ben & Bill went over to Cobboseecontee. Jim took Ella down to church to practice. Mr. Newell & nephew from Lisbon took dinner here. John Pooler & gang were over here fishing in Eve. Ben & Billy caught 14 good sized pickerel.

Ella & Jim went to church. Ben & I went rowing. Sick in P.M. Geo. Roberts called in P.M. Ma & Pa went over in sheep pasture plumming. Ella & Jim went to concert in P.M. Charlie Lapointe was over to get information regarding his wife.

Ben went to city. Sick in bed. Jim went to Falls in P.M. Ben went to Livermore Falls with Jocephus Orange Blossom. Tel in P.M. that wouldn’t be home. Sade was down in Eve.
Tues. May 24
Rained hard in night. Ben came home in P.M. Ella & I went to meet him. Edna very sick with lung trouble.
Wed. May 25
Dr. came up in stable team and stopped to dinner. The kids hung Sade a may basket but were not caught. Mrs. Morgan was down after Wilfred.
Thurs. May 26
Jim went over to Keay’s after fert. Ben went down to Steorns’. Mr. Cary bought little bull & was here to dinner. Ma & Ella went over to Mrs. Lapointe’s. School closed until Tues. Tel. from Henri C.
Fri. May 27
Jim lost his watch. Ben went to city. Joe Elwell gone to smash. Ma & pa went over to Faun Bickford’s in Eve. Showery.
Sat. May 28
Showery all day. Pa killed the pig. Jim went to Falls in P.M. Bill & Ella went to Byras's in Eve. Billy went to Townsend’s in P.M. Joe E. back.

Ben & I went over to Byras’ to see the baby fox they caught. Ben got tel. from Webber & Webber & Dr. Smiley to come up to see about Joe’s case. Jim went over to Ed Card’s. Billy & Ella went to church. Dr. & M. were down in auto in P.M. Ma, Pa & Ella went plumming. Billy went over to see Johnny S. Jim went to church in Eve.

Showery in A.M. but cleared away fine. Ella & Billy went to the Falls. Jim took Ben & I to Falls. Papa went over to Keay’s in A.M. Ben & I went to city. Took dinner at Berman’s then went up to M.’s Went over in Auburn to see celebration. Dr. took us round the lake and up to Fair Grounds in auto. Ben went to Livermore Falls in P.M.

Rainy. Dr. was over M. went downtown in P.M. Ben stayed at Livermore F.

Fine day. Went down town in P.M. Dr. took us for a ride up to the lake. Met Ben on the 4.18 Train. Ben went over to Joe’s with Dr. in Eve. Shriners having big time.

Ben took 7.05 train for Bath. M. & I went down home in P.M. Went to ride with Dr. in Eve. Ben came on 11 P.M. car. Alice Soule taken to St. Marie Hospital for appendicitis.
Fri. June 3
Ben went over in Auburn until 5 P.M. Went home on the 5.10 train. Meal came up in P.M. Took our lynx home all stuffed.
Sat. June 4
Russell and his father called in A.M. Jim and Billy went to P. Cor. to play ball in P.M. Jim went over to Guy Williams’ to hang a June box in Eve.
Sun. June 5
Fine day. Ed Card was up in P.M. Ma and Pa took Meal down to the Falls. Jim took Ben and I down to the 6 P.M. car.
Mon. June 6
Rained, pouring all day. Ben went over River all day. Met Mrs. William’s from Turner.
Tues. June 7
Fine day. Ben and I went to Crosby’s and Smiley’s in A.M. Ben started for Bath in P.M. but came back to supper. Went over to Alice Folsom's in Eve.
Wed. June 8
Went down with Ben to 10 A.M. car. I stayed with Alice in A.M. Mr. And Mrs. Wright and I went over to hospital to see Alice Soule in P.M.
Thurs. June 9
Went over to Dr.’s in P.M. Mrs. Leavitt called on me. Mrs. Hayford taken suddenly sick. Called Dr. Nurse came to take care of Mr. H. Ben came home on 9 P.M. car.
Fri. June 10
Rainy day. Ben and I went home in P.M. Papa came after me. Grace H. went home.
Sat. June 11
Ben and I went fishing to Loon Pond. Caught nothing. Rained hard all day. Jim went after fert. in A.M. and the Falls in P.M.
Sun. June 12
Rained nearly all day. Ma and Pa went over to Charles Harris’ in P.M. Jim and Billy went up to Lester’s in A.M. and Stayed to dinner. Fred Burgess came over to spend the day.

Ella took us to the Falls. Came to Lewiston on 10 A.M. car. M. and I went down St. in P.M. In Eve. went over to Bob’s. Ben went to Jay in P.M. Dr. away.
Tues. June 14
Ben came home in A.M. Went up to Lake to see Helen in A.M. Alice Soule came home in P.M. Fine day. Went out on Park in Eve.
Wed. June 15
Ben and I went up to the Fish Hatchery in A.M. Fine day but hot. Ben went over to Smiley’s in P.M. Dr. came home in P.M.
Thurs. June 16
Lovely day. Mrs. Burgess and daughter came. Ben went to Livermore Falls and Jay in P.M. Stayed at home sick all day.

Rained hard all night. Ben came home in P.M. Went out with Dr. in Eve.

Ben and I went home on 6 A.M. car. Took a team out from Larrabee's Ben and Ella went fishing over to Cobb. Ma and I went strawberrying. Wallace was down in P.M. Geo. Purell called in Eve. for an umbrella for some people going up the line. Rain pouring all night.

Fine day. Ma, Pa and Bill went down to Chas. Earle’s Ben and I went to Falls and took 5 P.M. car for Lewiston.

Fine day. Went up to Lake Grove in P.M. Took car ride in Eve. M., Mrs. Hayford, Ben and I went up to Geo. Ross’ in Eve.
Tues. June 21
Watch circus unload and saw parade in A.M. Slept all P.M. M., Ben and I went across Lake Grove in motor boat in Eve. Heavy shower in P.M.

Ben went to Auburn in A.M. Went down St. in P.M. Ben went away on 2 P.M. car. M. and I went down St. in Eve. Showers in Eve.
Thurs. June 23
Went down to depot with Mrs. Burgess and Mildred in P.M. Had ride round Fig 8. Ben came on 2 P.M. car. Dr. came home in am. M., B. and I went to Band concert on Park in Eve.

Stayed to Smiley’s in A.M. Ben went over to Auburn in P.M. M. and I took ride down in auto. Ben and Dr. went over to Joe’s and up to L. Waterman’s in Eve. Showery in P.M.

Showery in P.M. Ben over in Auburn. Came home on 2 P.M. car. Ma and Jim at the Falls. Joe gone again.

Went to fire on Cor. of Spring and Bridge Sts. Nice set of buildings up by Mt. Auburn Cemetery burned in P.M. All went over to Folsom’s in Eve.

Frye brought a crowd up pond lillying. Mrs. P. stayed to the house. Ella took Marion and me to Falls in A.M. Took dinner at Kelly’s. Ben came up on 1 P.M. car. Both went thru to Lewiston. Took car ride in P.M. Mr. and Mrs. Holley took on an auto ride up North River Road in Eve.

Jim took Ben down and brought back John and Alice. Had ‘phone from Ben in Eve. Mariette was down in P.M. Very cold.
Tues. Dec. 6
Colder. Kids went fox hunting in A.M. John went after Ben on 5.45 P.M. train.
Wed. Dec. 7
Ben and John went fox hunting. Ben and I went over to Bowdoin Center in P.M. after dogs. Alice, Ella and John went out sleighing in Eve.
Thurs. Dec. 8
Very cold. Ben, Alice and John went to City.
Fri. Dec. 9
Jim and Ben went to P. Cor. to have horses shod. Ben went to Bowdoin Ctr. Stevens on a bat. John S. was over. Sade, Lester and Wallace were down.
Sat. Dec. 10
James went to Falls, Ben and I went to City. Dr. very sick. Jim went to Ike Holbrook's to dance in Eve. Very cold.

Cold. Boys went fox hunting. Billy went with team.
Mon. Dec. 12
Very cold. Ben took Delia home in P.M. Jim went to Falls. Jim and Billy went to P. Cor. skating. Llewelyn L. came about 10.30 P.M.
Tues. Dec. 13
Cold. Ben went to P. Cor. James went to Falls with hay for Chas. Larrabee. Llewelyn stayed til P.M. John over to skate.
Wed. Dec. 14
James went to Falls. Geo. Stevens was up to see about cutting wood. Heard that Dr. F. was very sick.
Thurs. Dec. 15
Ben went to City. Jim went to Falls. Snowed hard. Cold and windy.
Fri. Dec. 16
Dr. and M. came down to board on 4.5 P.M. Cold and windy. Larabee brought them to P. Cor. Ben met them there. Daisy lost her colt.

Ben and Pa went fox hunting. Jim went to Falls. Dr. feeling some better. Jim and Bill went up to Lester’s in Eve.

Dr. much better. Jim went over to Bill Garcelon’s. Ben and Billy went fox hunting.

Ben and Dr. took M. to Larabee's for Larabee to meet. Warm. Ben and I went partridging in P.M. Geo. Stevens came to cut wood.

Lovely and warm. Ma and Pa went over to Carr’s. Ma went over to T. Grover’s. Ben and Dr. went to ride in P.M.
Wed. Dec. 21
Snowed hard all day. Jim and I went to City. M. and Earle went to Music Hall with us in P.M.
Thurs. Dec. 22
Fine day. Ben and Ma went to Falls.
Fri. Dec. 23
Jim went to City to have tooth pulled. Dr. met M. and went to Thomaston. Came back and stayed at house.

Rained hard all day. Ben took M. to P. Cor. to meet Larabee’s team.

Fair. Jim took dinner up to Lester’s. Wallace took dinner with us. Billy sick with bad cold.

Ben took Dr. and I down to P. Cor. then Ma and Ella. Cloudy. Jim and Ella went to P. Cor. to X-mas tree.

Jim and Ella went to Falls. Brought Sailor back home. Cloudy.
Wed. Dec. 28
Ben and Lincoln went to Falls. Met M. and went to Brunswick. Snowed in P.M. Jim went rabbiting. Ben went to Bath on business with man in Madison.
Thurs. Dec. 29
Jim and Ben went fox hunting all day. I went for ride with them in P.M. Pa went up to see “My Dave”. Ma stayed at Decovin’s to supper. Foggy and cloudy.
Fri. Dec. 30
Rainy. Clear in P.M. Jim and Billy went up to Lester’s in Eve. Ben and Lincoln went to P. Cor. in P.M. to get Flash shod. Ben, Ella and I went partridging. Mr. Morgan cut toe.
Sat. Dec. 31
Billy took old mare to P. Cor. to get shod. “Friday” came to see about cutting wood. Russell cut for us. Ben and I went partridging and Dr. and Ella went too.
